Please - Could use some advice!

Looking to redo my entire stock stereo system in my F150. New head unit, new speakers in all four doors, and perhaps even a sub and amp eventually.

I think my mind is pretty set on the four door speakers being Infinity Reference 5x7's which fit the factory size.

But I need a head unit that works with an I-pod Touch gizmo. I would like something very simple, but also something that gives me some great sound. A clock would be nice and a very clean nice look overall from the head unit.

Here is a list of head units that I have researched and seem to be what I might be looking for. Please give me some input, as I want the best bang for my buck here.

Best HU bet is an alpine 9886. A little pricey but the best option with Ipod itegration and all. I love mine with my touch.

All your speakers wont sound great without a amp. I suggest the new Hifonics zxi6410 if your trying to keep cost down. I have no experience with Inifinity speakers but ill let someone else give you advice on that.

Depending on cab set-up and set set-up you could do 8"s or maybe 10"s behind or under the seat. I suggest DD1508's or waiting for Sundown X8's to drop. with 1200-1500 on a pair of those. DD's tuned to around 37 and X8's tuned to 35.

You know. Tells time. Most HU's have them. Do you know what they are.

yeah...my cell phone has one, do you have one of those? or better yet get a watch. a clock is not a concern when choosing a headunit for music

I think I've narrowed my search to these two units. Mostly because of price, and what they offer....

Any thoughts on either of these two units? I've never owned anything by either company.
