Plasma vs LCD vs DLP

yes the sony xbr line is very nice indeed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.
Eh, better can be had for cheaper.

If you want plasma, Panasonic 75 series (720p) or z700 series (full 1080p)

If you want LCD and can afford ALITTLE glare, Samsung 71 or 81 series LCDs

I still like my Elite.... But, I don't play games...
I wish I would have bought the elite. I heard you could trade in your premium through Microsoft for an elite and just pay the difference.

I agree that it's not the cheapest thing by any means but my parents had the money so I just get to enjoy what they made an investment in. I think it looks amazing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/santa.gif.e1ec9cf2e0a0dd232ad35aa594a126d0.gif

I like the new XBR4s, the 2 left me wanting more...

i have ALWAYS found DLP's to have the best picture, and they are cheaper than LCD or plasma. IMO, the only time you should consider a plasma or a LCD is if you have a situation where you cant sit the TV on the floor or it absolutly has to be mounted on a wall.

plasmas also have relitively short life spans compared to lcd or dlp, and i would rather replace a bulb in a dlp than have to replace the entire tv.

Id take a DLP over all of them. only real +1with plasma or lcd is you can wall mount it.

DLP is overall cheaper and can deliver same if not better quality video. and lamps are replaceable.

oh the non existing view angles are really no longer an issue these days.

^^ i have my DLP wall mounted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

sorta lol. i have a floating shelf that i fabricated for my 56" DLP and put it up to a comfortable viewing location on the wall. and like said before, samsung makes some amazing tv's.

i have a 42 inch plasma i love, id take a dlp over it anyday of the week cheaper and bigger, sure the bulbs burn out but w\e i could of replaced a bulb 2-3 times and gotten a 15 inch bigger tv for the same price as my cheapish plasma

1600 dollar plasma

I meant my Pioneer Elite Display... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I have a Samsung DLP 1080P. The major/main downfall for DLP's is the Picussion/Bow issue when watching in SD/4:3 mode. This has got to be the biggest issue with me that I cannot stand (Caused by screen sagging, near impossible to fix basically). Second is watching SD seems to be a lot crappier compared to LCD's that I've seen. Other then that its not too bad. If I had the money I would get an LCD. Samsung 1080P LCD's price have dropped a lot (1080p@60hz that is).
