my plant has lost its vigor. i know it needs to repotted but it is nearing the end of the gorwing season. should i go ahead and repot it now , or wait it out?

its is a bougainvillea (sp?) im training into a bonsai..

Repot it. And if the days get too short or cold, bring it inside for awhile.

It will go into shock after you repot it, but I would do it while the plant is still healthy enough to recover.

good point.

i was planning on it , but i was unsure since i moved to NC and the weather here is quite different from south florida.

feed it some ashes and leave it there until its about 3 ft.

Those things dont die to easy, Id repot it and make sure its gets plenty of water and moisture. Should be good...

It will grow faster is u just plant it inground though...

of course it will , but it would take over everything lol. its my first shot at giving bonsai a try though , so it will be staying in a pot fo' lyfe. its almost a year old...
