I'm new to these forums and I'm seeking some help.

I'm planning on getting some audio stuff for my first car. well here's what I'm thinking.

Stereo -

In Phase IPS247BT CD / MP3 / WMA / SD / USB / Bluetooth Player - IPS247BT from In Phase

Speakers (four of) -

In Phase XTC52 200W 2-way Speakers - XTC52 from In Phase

Subwoofer -

In Phase XTB212 Killer bass pack deal - XTB212 + IPA2001D + IP41 from In Phase

So my question is, what sort of amp should i get for the speakers? and also will i need any additional power for all of this?

alright thanks, i'm browsing some threads while i wait for any responces //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

that hu is going to give you a problem if your wanting to run more than one amp, you only have 1 preout,
youll either need to get a different hu or a good crossover/equalizer.

and are you dead set on those speakers/subs
I'm pretty new to this whole thing, and no i'm not dead set it's just a friend of mine that like's to act like he knows more than he does, recommended that stuff to me :/

and i'm guessing HU = stereo?

hu is the headunit, or in your terms stereo, youll need to look for something with 3 preouts, which will easily let you hook up a 4 channel for the speakers and your sub amp,

im not sure whats available on the other side of the pond from me but im guessing there is something better than that out there.

can you build or have somebody you know, build a box for your subs? you guys over there have alot of the same things we have here. prices i can't comment on cause i donno how your money goes up to our money. when looking for a hu aka radio, look for something with 3preouts (rca's) out the back of it. good brands are alpine, eclipse, pioneer, jvc and kenwood. is that the cheapest site you have to choose from?

here's somethings to look more along the lines of

hu: Alpine CDE-9880R CD/MP3/USB iPod Ready Player - CDE-9880R from Alpine

subs: Alpine SWR-1242D 1500 Watts dual voice coil subwoofer (4 ohms) - SWR-1242D from Alpine

door speakers: Alpine SPR-13S 13cm Component Speakers 300 Wtts - SPR-13S from Alpine

now yes this looks like i'm on alpine's nuts, but this site doesn't have much to choose from. but this will give you a better idea on what to look for.

That is a very helpful post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ugh, finding that trying to make a sound system for my desires is very hard, does anyone have an email or msn i could speak to them on, or does anyone mind having a private message chat?

What exactly are your desires with regard to the system. Hard for anyone to make recommendations without knowing what you want it to do.

As far as only having a single pre-out, that isn't any kind of limitation. You can run a multi-channel amp that can derive signal for all its outputs off a single set of inputs. Likewise you can buy amps that have pass-through outputs to send signal to other amps. I don't think that In Phase has hit the States yet. As such, take most opinions you get about that equipment with a grain of salt.
