Planning my next system a little help please

I have been putting a system together in my hatchback car and have it almost where I want it but out of the blue a new engine for my truck fell into my lap so now I am going to pull everything out of my car and build my truck.

Truck is a 2001 Ford Sport Trac

I am going to pull out the rear seats.

What I want to have when done is a flat platform on top and all the equipment under it.

The platform is for my dog to hang out on and for me to toss stuff on that I don't want in the bed.

I need the platform to be as low as possible so my dog can get on it from the rear doors as I don't want him climbing over the leather front seats.

This means I need to build a box that works with the hump in the middle of the floor.

I truly have more bass now than I need, I know that sounds stupid but it is true.

Subs are going to be facing forward.

Easiest cheapest thing for me would be to build a sealed box for my 12" Skars

This may put the shelf too high for my dog though.

Because of the hump I cannot make a normal 'L' shaped port

How would 10's or 8's sound if I did subs forward and an areo port facing towards the doors. I have never ran something like that. Basically 2 boxes each one with it's one areo port firing towards the door it is closest to.

Thoughts?

Anyone have experience with a build like this?

So you're looking for as close to 100% stealth as you can get?

I just want my dog to be able to ride with me without tearing up my subs or equipment.

Hopefully he doesn't stop people from helping me in my thread.

So I have done some more looking at the area I am dealing with. The tunnel is not going to be as much trouble as I thought it would.

I am thinking amp rack on floor, then box on top of rack.

So now my questions are...

Subs are forward, where is best place for port? Forward or to side?

4 cheaper 8's or 2 beefier 10's?

Hmm....I built an amp rack with a hump in the middle like that.

I wouldn't put the sub enclosure on top of the amp rack in case you want access to the amps.

I am going to place the amps so I can get to the controls from the side that faces the doors. Shouldn't be a problem.

I have had systems where the the amps were built in the spare tire well with the sub box on top with beauty panels covering everything.

I will be using a Mini DSP so really just having the USB accessible is about all I am going to need.

Unlike fucnuts Kuthe, I can use a DSP.

A dsp. You can hire him to install it for ya AND....re-write the programming to get it to turn on for ya lmao Oh man I kill me.
