Planning a system

Aight I'm getting 2 15'' Kicker Comps for $150 buy 1 get 1 so I think its a pretty good deal. Now I don't know much about the amps and stuff. 1st system. I'm gonna get a ported box too, any suggestions? So what amp should I get that is gonna power 2 15''s full power. Nothing too expensive. Idk if it matters but its gonna go in a 04' ford explorer. Thanks.

i wouldnt go with a ported box a sealed box hits harder and i would go with a kicker amp that reaches the rms of the subs
nooo do not go with a sealed espically in an explorer. unless you just want SQ then sure go with sealed but if you want to be heard down the block then go ported for lower bass.

So that amp will push 2 15s to full power? Im wondering cause my cousin has two 12'' inch comps and a 2000w amp? Idk so...500w for 2 15's doesn't sound right.

You could do the 8" as a front sub on its own amp and use it to bridge/enhance the gap between your 12" in the rear to the midranges

You may or may not like the sound of just dropping into the stock locations but loading into the glass is definitely going to cause some issues...

160AH lithium that supports a 12K system is pretty lofty! I've seen dual 24's or quad 12's that will do this. Most of what 've run across is dual...
