Planet Audio AC1500.1M Amp going into protection Mode

I have a Planet Audio 1500w monoblockamp on my psi platform 2 12 dual 1 ohm with direct leads and it goes into protection mode if I turn the radio up over 20 and it is really annoying. I want to know if is because of the way I wired it which is I just put the two hot wires on one terminal and same with the ground or if it because of any other reason

Probably have it wired parallel at .5 ohm, needs to be in series for 2ohm

The amp is stable down to 2 ohms. It sounds like you have a dual 1 wired parallel -- that's 1/2 ohm.

Being that it's only 2ohm stable and it's wired at .5 you also lose a lot of efficiency and have bad voltage drop at the amp as well both wiring to low and voltage drop will kill an amp fast. I can almost guarantee you are clipping as well. Once you have figured out how to wire it correctly look up how to properly set a gain.
