I fail to see how this is the dogs fault? And id like to see where "dog people" admitted that they are bad? Do you know that Pit bulls have been trained for bomb detection in airports and for police dogs? Probably not, also do you know that almost everyone of Vicks dogs has been rehabilitated and placed in caring homes, many with kids?

No not ignorant informed of what I have seen what these dogs can do and no TY.. I hope CA passes that law banning them stupid *** dogs.. Then I am sure many other states will follow suit. To bad cause they are beautiful dogs too...

How come then when I walked into my buddies house his german sheppard wanted to attack me? There a good family and probably treat the dog very well. He just wanted to kill me lol

It doesnt matter what you tell any pitbull hater i seriously doubt you could sway their ignorance , i mean opinion. I have bred and sold APBT for over 10 years now none of my dogs are agressive towards people. It takes a responsible owner to socialize and train these dogs, not just any idiot should own one. I could make a killer out of any breed, just like I could make a killer out of any person, if properly trained and conditioned. These dogs shouldnt be shunned for doing what their owners have trained and conditioned them to do.

sounds to me like a bad representation of the breed, although in the German Shepherd standard they are supposed to be aloof of strangers (as they are a guard breed)

however APBT (or pit bulls for the laymans) have a specific definition in their standard which is..

Regarding aggression in the breed:
DOG toward DOG aggression IS a characteristic of most terriers, including the APBT.

DOG toward HUMAN aggression IS NOT a characteristic of the APBT at all in any form.

Any APBT that displays dog toward human aggression in any form, unless saving the life of their owners, should be euthanized. The APBT is not a guardian breed and should never act like one.

bro I agree I have a weimaraner and hes tempermental.. that's why I am getting ready to give him to the weimaraner rescue and see if they can do anything for him. I have a 2 yr old son and he's much more important then a tempermental dog.. I have 3 dogs total so I do love dogs... You are right that attack swayed my feelings but they were again re-inforced in college when I saw my friends 2 pits go nuts and try to attack someone walking to class for no reason???????? Maybe he had weed in his dufflebag since the law enforcement use them as I was told earlier in this thread.

I know a friend who's handled dogs for probably 30-40 years. Has a whole army of German Sheppards at his house. Don't get me wrong, they would probably rip someone apart in a heartbeat if the situation called for it, but strictly on his command. Otherwise they're a bunch of spoiled sweeties. If he's having steak for dinner, they get steak for dinner.

Any time I see anything like this I wish they would do to the owner whatever it is they're planning to do to the dog then send the dog off for re-hab by someone who knows what they're doing.

Humans have a choice, the poor animal doesn't. I had an aunt who used to buy rottwielers then not do much of anything with them other than feed them and pet them every now and then and wonder why they went wild all the time. Most people don't see the signs that their animals could be aggressive to others because all they pay attention to is that they're cute and cuddly artound them and their own kids and they don't crap on the floor.

I remember another time I was going to my friends house and didnt want to drive my new car down his gravel driveway. I was like 16 and excited so I was running down to his house all of a sudden a Rotweiler comes running after me. I just stopped running and he stood 1 foot away from me growling barking teeth showing. I just walked away slowly and made it. I thought I was a dead man.
