Just goes to show you we have a lot of dumb fawkers who don't know how to train their dogs.

I have grew up with 3 German shephards and all of them were the most friendly dogs I knew and great family pets. I will say they get a little stressed when new people come over, but as long as you have someone next to you that knows the dog, then it is fine.

Hell the last GS we had, we would just let it out in the yard and kids......hell even other dogs would walk by and it would just chill in her yard and just watch them. Now as far as them walking on our property, then might be a problem, lol! They are very loyal friendly dogs, just don't step on their toes and it will be fine.

Only other dog I would have besides a GS is a yellow lab, lol!

I know, night and day difference. I just like labs.

Parents have a 10 month old GS right now and is close to 50 pounds and loves to play.........actually she likes everyone, but she is young.

She plays with my 20 month old baby like it was her puppy. She licks her and just sits next to her. Sometimes she growls at me when I pick her up, lol!

Also any breed can go haywire, just certain dogs are more likely to snap than others.

My next door neighbor for years had a Siberian Huskey, who was so nice, that you thought, man I would love to have that dog. So good and plays nice with the kids. Well one day it snapped on the 4 year old and ripped half his face off. 450 stitches on a 4 year old..........yeah, he looked like Frankenstien!

He actually has healed up quite nicely. Is amazing! Dog was put down a few days later after the incident.

I guess, you just never really know.

people who can't control or doesn't know how to control a dog, any breed, shouldn't own a dog. simple. But people want to be selfish and own a dog just because they want to or THINK they know how to.
People should research what breed fits them at least the breed size.

Like Haunz's sister for example, it isn't a good example for a female to own large breed dogs if she can't physically control them.

I'm sure a 300lb man would have a hard time controling that dog when it lost it's cool... and the dog only got out of control when she wasn't right there with it... always when her back was turned..

The other aspect is that part of the reason she wants to have dogs like that is for protection.. it follows to get a large dog..

No not ignorant informed of what I have seen what these dogs can do and no TY.. I hope CA passes that law banning them stupid *** dogs.. Then I am sure many other states will follow suit. To bad cause they are beautiful dogs too...

As far as German sheppards I've seen what kind of killers they can be as well... our neighbours two pet sheppards 'who wouldn't hurt a fly' killed my little terrier dog when I was 7 years old..

i also think its all about how the dog is raised. My best friend has a monster pit, but it would bit a thing. its a really nice dog. probably wouldnt even bite someone breaking in lol. Did someone post or know the story on this attack? because i dont think the dog would be alive for a pciture. cops would of shot it on site

Your cat probably thought it was all bad arse and all and the GS just pimped smacked him and your cat kilt over.

GS felt bad for a nano second. Probably didn't mean to kill it, just wanted to show her who was boss.

Dogs are like people.. How you raise them is how they act.. yes they have tendencies of their own like humans do and will have them no matter what but thats not all of the breed just certain dogs in each.. When i was born my parents got a doberman and it was the most loyal dog and wouldn't bite if you kicked it.. We have a rottweiler now and its the biggest baby/goof ball.. It got out the other day and loves to run around and it ran past a person and their child and they freaked out.. big black dog.. She is very playful and sometimes goes a little far but never to the point of hurting another.. we have a small dog too and it knows not to hurt it.. she is a very vocal dog though.. grumbles if you push her around... hell when i was young this little bastard yapper dog bit me.. got me good luckily no stitches.. i was at my step sisters friends house and it jumped up on the couch so i started petting it and it bit me..

so to all thinking a certain breed is bad are dumb... What it is, is people breed those dogs for fighting as they have very powerful jaws.. well the losers some do a michael vick and kill them others let them go and thats where the stories come from..

If me and the girlfriend are playing around if she hits me my dog will bark at her.. if she does it again she will look at me and wait for the go.. if i say get her she will... i have to tell her to stop before she gets mean though.. My dog is a Jealous ***** though.. if im hugging my girlfriend goodbye she barges between us and wants attention..
