I see what you're saying, but running a 10 second quarter mile on a public road might kill somebody, where blasting your bass might slightly irritate some people.

Sometimes I feel like it - if someone's driving like an arsehole with their stock system so loud the distortion is unbearable outside the car, and they're 10 feet from the steering wheel and just thinkin they're so bad@ss... But then I sometimes think "what will this accomplish" and more importantly am always thinking that someone can follow me home and steal mah stuff.
