pioneers ground??

Just make sure the negative is off your battery when you go to install a Pioneer and you won't have a problem. I actually blew my pico attempting to hunt down ground noise.... hot swapping FTL. Its all fixed now, stupid mistake. There should be plenty of threads on various sites with detailed info on how to fix the issue. I know I have seen quite a few.

Yes it is, it is in the new 800prs's.
No. I don't think it is so much. It's already been said in this thread alone it has been more installer error than anything else. I also haven't heard of ANY of the new 800s having this issue.

Maybe you have a personal issue against Pioneer???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

seriously. unhook the batt when you **** around with the wires in the back of your head units... theres an onboard fuse that blows when the tiniest short happens, and that grounds the rcas output. when that fuse blows, which is a very very small one, will cost a lot of money to fix, or time for you to fix.

edit: i guess its been covered. i didnt read up far enough. eh, bump on the dead horse i guess.

Exactly. That is how a lot of people screw up their head units. Too impatient and/or lazy to disconnect their battery. If you short something out it is going to malfunction. What gets me is so many people bash Pioneer headunits over this when Pioneer makes such great head units.

Edit: Well, their higher end units are amazing anyway.
