Pioneer took away the **** full-color screen!!!!!!

Ok remember the kick-*** full-color screen on the 7800/780, well below is a link for the Pioneer 2007 Catalog. They will be replacing it with the DEH-P7950UB which has a USB port but only a blue OEL screen. Dammnit. Still looks great though. I know which unit I'll be getting now for sure.

Maybe they decided they needed to leave color to that brand so consumers would want to buy a more expensive HU?

Yes, the Premier line will debut with the ofiicial 2007 lineup sometime March-April.

I bet the color screens will be left to the 8000 and 9000 level. Tis a shame they will not be released untill spring.

Usually they'll send you updated software if you register the product.

That iDA-X001 looks sick but I haven't seen anywhere anything about CD/CDR/CDRW compatibility, I think its just made to basically control the Ipod and thats it, no CD playback.

Not a bad MSRP either.

If that unit had the audio feature set of my 9835, then I would buy it at a much higher price point than its MSRP. However the nice ipod integration isn't worth giving up my EQ and XO sections. I'll just stick to navigating with the Ipod itself.

Elite is their best home audio/video line. Premier is the higher car audio line.

And that new 7950UB only has a 7 band grafic eq instead of the 16 band on the 7800 and i also didn't see anything about time alignment. Looks to me like they took away more things than they added.

I just did a google search and found units called the DEH-8850MP and the DEH-9880BT. I looked at the pics and noticed that there isnt even a difference in the looks. Is there any difference at all compared to the 780/980????? These could possible be the new models for 2007. I zoomed into one of the pics of the 9880BT and the model still said 980BT. Oh yeah, and its selling for like $900.
