Pioneer subs

I'm getting 2 Pioneer ts-w256dvc subs. They are dual 4 ohm voice coils and rated at 350w rms a piece. I'm new to the car audio world so i need some help looking for an amp to power them. I know i can run them at either 1 or 4 ohms from crutchfield.com's wiring guide. So does that mean i can run a mono block amp at 1 ohm or bridge a 2-channel amp to 4 ohms? I'm not sure. And does anyone have any recommedations for an amp for me. Lookin to spend less than $300.

You can do either, as long as the amp is 1ohm stable or bridgable. Your possible wiring setups are right so I'd just look for an amp that does 550-700wx1 at 1 ohm or 550-700x1 at 4 ohm or even 300x2 at 2ohm, though setting the gains can be a pain on the 2ch. amp.

That's correct providing that the monoblock is stable at a 1 Ohm load (not all of them are).

How about around $100? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Have a look here. On the linked page have a look at the unit at the very top of the page. I would assume that shipping won't run you more than $13 or so which would give you 600w when bridged for $100 with a valid manufacturer warranty. Certainly that isn't the only option available but when someone is looking for decent, reliable amplification on a budget Profile is always my goto recommendation. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
