Hi Guys

Just wondering if anyone had an unbiased view on these Component Sets. I looking for anyone that had both that could tell me what you liked and disliked about each set.

I'm looking to buy one of them and I'm Partially leaning towards the Pioneer set due to having an older set back in the day that played to lower notes rather well. And I'm not going to run a sub in the car due to the space being taken up by tool boxes. I heard the Focal set today at the audio store and they sound nice but need to know how the Pioneers are from that reference point.

What is your budget? Out of those two I would go with the Pioneers just because the FLAX ones are so new I haven't seen anything on them yet as far as reviews go. The Pioneers are proven champs. In that price range though you will get a bunch of other guys coming in and giving all kinds of other suggestions. It all comes down to personal preference and what your ears prefer.

In that budget range and if you are going subless and want a set that plays low, I would either go with a set of the Hertz HSK 165 XL's or maybe a 3 way set. The new PPI P3.65c's are supposed to be amazing. They go for about $280.

What amp will you be running on them?

Thanks for the response my budget on these is 600-675, as far as the amp is concerned Ive been looking around on that although I might just stick with the PRS-D4200 just to keep things matched up...

But if there are other options that are cheaper or better I will seriously consider that, my budget for the amp is around 500 bucks... I trying to do a decent SQ build, I will take a look at the speakers you had mentioned as well.

They sound great the shop near me has been involved in a couple of the Pioneer Stage-4 competition and never heard a bad sound from any of the setups. As far as amps you may look at CDT they make a very nice SQ amp and components as well. Just curious what vehicle are you installing them in?
