pioneer selection

I am searching for an older Alpine. Should have done that from the start.
Buying an older Alpine with NO warranty won't help you out in any way. But if you like electronics products with NO warranty then go right ahead. Personally I would go with something new so you have a waranty as there are NO guarantees that ANY electronic device will perform reliably.

EVERY pioneer i have had has had problems except for one Avic Z1 which is pretty sweet, so im going to be switching to eclipse my self i think, i havent had any problems with the ones i have installed yet

Yeah, but you're queer.

Not the warrenty as much as I just like the older Alpines. Ran them for some time, and have a 7894 in my truck now that works well for me. Also my experience has always been if electronics go bad they usually do it early in their life or are bad from the start. I know that's not always the case, but for fairly inexpensive equipment I'll chance it. Who knows maybe I'll decide on a new Alpine of lesser quality and try out the Ipod thing....
