Pioneer/Samsung Bluetooth Issue

Recently installed Pioneer avh-p7800dvd w/cd btb100. I have a brand new Samsung M-500 cell and am having issues connecting with head unit. Old Samsung had the same problem (everyone elses phone I tried had no problem communicating so I figured it was my phone and replaced!) Still having communication failure between the two! Has anyone experienced the same and does anyone know how the hell to fix it? I bought the bluetooth unit off of e-bay and failed to read the fine print........it was refurbished....could this be my problem? Thanks for all the help and info in advance!

You have already answered your own question. If everyone else's phones work, then your phone is the problem. Not that there is an issue with the phone itself, just that your particular model does not communicate well with the bluetooth adapter you have.

I have the exact same issue with my Alpine stuff. The 300BT doesn't usually sync up with my Samsung C417. It works better with my roommate's Samsung (not sure of the model #), but still doesn't load up the full contact list or missed/dialed/received call lists like it should.

Your best bet is to test out phone models (via your friends) and find one that works perfectly and that you like, and change to that phone. That's my plan.
