Pioneer problem

Hello,

I have changed the original ford focus '99 speakers into Pioneer ts-a6972e. Also, I have changed the original player into Pioneer p3500mp player, but the sound is not very good(even when the sound is a little more then half). What could be wrong? Does the polarity matter? Maybe i mixed it? Or maybe i need some kind of amplifier? Please advice me. Thank you.

P.S. i mounted it in the front door. Maybe i need enclosure? I've been searching all over the internet, but i didn't found any enclosure for this type of speakers. It says its non-enclosure.

yes. if you sound like there is absolutley no bass coming from the speakers then you have reversed the polarity. do the 9v battery trick.

Sorry? 9v battery trick? I noticed one more interesting thing. You see, i use adapter from ford to euro(as it is in pioneer) and could there be mixed some wires, because when i do fade to front, only left speaker works, and when i do fade to rear, the right one works(in the front). I know i could'nt mixed the wires by myself(well maybe polarity), because i removed the original speakers and placed the pioneers on the same wires as the old speakers were. Waitting for some advices. Thank you.

ugh, you just need to re-check all your speaker wires and the way you have them hooked up. something is fvcked up.

Thats exactly what i am going to do. One more little question. What is the minimum power amplifier i need to play those Pioneer ts-a6972e full power. My player is 4x50w. Speaker's nominal power is 80w and 400w full power. Thank you for answers.

your cd player does not put out 50 watts rms it probally does about 18, 22 if its a decent one. get an amp that matches the rms of the speakers.

Ohh... i see... And if i get amp like 300rms, would it be bad for those 80w-rms speakers? I mean what should i do if i want to connect those speakers and lets say a sub on the same 300rms amp. Can i do this? Or i need two amps? Thanks.

one speaker is 1 channel. you are going to need a 5 or 6 channel amp if you want to have 4 speakers and a sub.

How about this amp? I mean without the sub. Only for in-door speakers.

if you would like to stay with the same brand throughout your system then that will suit your needs. there is better but that will be fine.

well i think it would be better to stick to one brand. Am i wrong? Maybe you could suggest me something better(something around that level)?

I could suggest something better but you probally wont be able to hear the difference between an amp around the same price range as that. so Just stick with that and try to find one cheap. and just make sure you hook everything up right, good ground and the right polarity and you'll be set.
