How good are these subs? A friend of mine is thinking about getting 4 of these to put in his blazer. They are about $140 a piece pre-shipping. If they aren't kosher, is there anything else in that price range worth the money? Thanx

If it helps, I think that the world record of 180 dbs was put up by Premiers. The higher end ones. But nonetheless...the subs are awesome

Pioneer makes more than a few subs that are sold under their upmarket branding of Premier......it may be a great deal and it may be a screwing. Simply saying Pioneer Premiers doesn't give us much info to work with here...

I think he's talking about TS-W3004's or TS-W3002's.

Where can you get those for $140?

I have their baseline premier, the TS-W106DVC. 10" and for a single ten, i'm gonna have to say **** it's loud ... in a sealed 1^3 box .

Ebay I think also has them for around $140, the sq on them I heard wasn't anything spectacular but still decent but they get very loud, the RL-P's I heard get decently loud but with great SQ. Just depends on what your looking for. I have 2 TS-W126's in a prefab sealed box and I think they sound awesome. However I will be running 2 RL-P 15's in a few weeks. Pioneer TS-W126's for the money (about 70 a piece shipped) are one of the best subs out there IMO.

Ive never heard the lower end premiers, but the higher end stuff is ****ing loud.

i have 2 3004spl's in an ex. cab chevy, off my 1200d @ 1 ohm (~600rms apiece)

and each in a 1.8 @35hz box, they friggin slam.....my back wall/glass flexes like 1/2", wipers bounce, interior shakes, etc, etc....great buy, i got mine for $200 off a buddy........i think etronics.com has them for less that $140 (before shipping)....

The 3004SPL (and 3002SPL) are loud woofers, for sure.

I've also owned an RL-p, and to be honest, it's apples and oranges.

For me, at the time,the RL-p wasn't loud enough in my application;

Admittedly, I didn't built a proper box for it, I used it in a sealed enclosure.

I'll put it to you this way, though; Looking back, I would trade both my Premiers to have that sexy RL-p back.

yes they are the 3004's, and he is getting them from Sonic Electronix. Where is sound splitter sold? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
