Can't be happier. I'll let the pics do most of the talking...Also installed the XM Tuner and iPod adapter while I was upgrading my HU. XM is nice and the quality excellent. The iPod adapter is flawless and makes navigating my music a breeze.

0 issues with ground noise, blown fuses, etc...as I've been reading on some other people's posts. Stereo shop was top notch and very friendly. Now I need to go tweak all the **** options on the HU..so many menus and sub-menus.

so you got amps in the truck?cuz you won't hear any ground issue noises until an amp is hooked up.

Also, No ground noise with mine. But I ran 4ga positive and negative from the battery to a fuse box under the seat, everything gets power from the fuse box and nothing go through any oem wire harness.

I was actually referring to the engine whine noise that a lot of people have. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've read where people have had issues with AND without amps as a part of their system...I could be wrong though.

it norm with amps, I warn u. dont ever mess with rcas on your amps while radio is on! this is hot swapping and pioneers are very weak against it and this will blow the fuse easily. my alpine could take it all day, not on my 880 i blew my fuse and had to wire wrap rcas cause of it.

so car off or just turn off the radio and then mess with ur rca's

Sweet! When I decided to make the major head unit upgrade, It was a very close decision between the prs 880 and the Kenwood Excelon KDC X990. That Pioneer is a awsome deck, but I decided to go with the Excelon instead. I would have been happy either way, no doubt. If I do decide to get a truck next spring, I will try to get that Pioneer and see the difference between the two decks. Both have awesome sq and tweeking abilitiies. Congrats on the new installed deck. She's a beauty!

i wanted this hu but at the time went to buy but they only have the deh9800 at 250dlls pretty good deal 8 months ago its also a good hu same functions but dont have the auto ta and eqs
