Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS-- Power Handling??

I am thinking very seriously about getting this set of comps. My question is, how much power can these take? I see that they are only rated for 50 watts RMS, but it seems that most folks are running more than that to them. I've got a Monitor 1 amp but I'm not sure how much it puts out. I am guessing that it is around 100 watts RMS. Thanks in advance!

50wrms is just it continuous power handling a good measure is most of the time you want a little more sometimes double the rms in your amp and let your gains and slope etc (tuning) do the rest

but thats only what ive been told so dont quote me

Speakers are usually rated full range without a crossover... by the time you high pass them at the typical 80HZ - 100HZ, they will handle about twice the power.

The Pioneers will sound great on a numerous range of power. I'd give them at least 60w rms and not more than 150w rms.

Ive heard them with about 70w and 125w and they sounded good on both, they're excellent comps!
