reading the manual and understanding the settings would be your best bet:fyi:

are you running factory speakers?

if yes, then start by setting hpf to 100+ to protect the mids and highs, then be sure you have gains set correctly on your sub amp with the hu's eq set flat and bass boost off

edit: my eq is always set flat and sounds great

when i set it to flat all the bars on the display go on a even line

That is the exact reason i got rid of my pioneer deh-p3300 it had some meny settings it drove me nuts trying to get it to sound good. I went back to alpine
