Hello all... FIRST thread, FIRST post!
I've been going through alot of the threads trying to find the answer to this question so that I wouldn't have to bug anyone with it (I have noticed that rather than look up previously answered questions, many people end up asking questions that have been answered here SEVERAL times already). Sorry if it's somewhere out there and I didn't find it...
The first thing I learned coming into the whole car audio scene was that one should buy his/her amp FIRST and then buy speakers to suit it, not the other way around. So... I bought one PioneerPremier X320 and one X220.
MY QUESTION IS... would the X320 hurt the PioneerPremier TS-W12PRS that I'm looking into getting? RMS on the TS is 300 and I've learned that the X320 will push around 400 RMS. I DID read a post here claiming that a TS could handle ALOT more than that... is that a legit claim?
Also... I realize this is the SUBWOOFER section but while I'm here I'll go ahead and ask. For the X220, I'm looking into getting the 6.5" Pioneer REV components... would the X220 be too much, not enough or just enough power for them? The REVs are 60 RMS and I hear that the X220 can dish out a little more than that. I VERY often see posts where people claim to push ALOT more to their comps than their RMS rating... so, I'm guessing the REV's could handle just a little more too...
PLEASE LET ME KNOW
Many Thanks
