Pioneer P780MP Bezel Won't Fit Once In Install Kit

Looks like my only option is to use the install kits bezel. Once the bezel is on, the radio's bezel won't fit over it. Second item, I can't believe the only thing keeping someone from stealing the radio is the tiny *** tabs of the install kit's bezel. See pics.

First pic shows Pioneers bezel on top, second is the bezel from the install kit- you can barely see the small tabs on the bottom that hold this radio in. They are on top as well, just not seen in pic. Third pic, shows how easy radio slides out without the kits bezel attached.

If I just use the Pioneers bezel, it’s fine although now the radio can slide out very easily, guess I could use something to hold the radio/sleeve to the kit on the inside?

The kit's bezel isn't what's supposed to hold the radio in place; you're supposed to use the Pioneer radio's mounting sleeve. Have you never mounted a head unit into a kit before?

Remove the metal mounting sleeve from the Pioneer head unit. Slide the sleeve into the kit and bend the metal tabs on the sleeve so it's held securely in the kit. Then put the Pioneer bezel back on the deck and slide the deck into the sleeve. It should lock back into the sleeve, and if you've mounted the sleeve right it will be held firmly in the kit.
