Pioneer or Alpine?

i was looking at a CRUTCHFIELD and i seen that Alpine has 4 volt preamp output and the Pioneer has 2.2 what does this mean will it make my amp push more power?

I like pioneer because they look cool with the animated display. if i get a Alpine it will be ether CDA-9827 or CDA-9830 If i get a pioneer it will be DEH-P6700 or DEH-P7700MP

Hmmm I woulda thought Pioneer would have the 4 volt preout and Alpine having the 2.2 because Pioneer usually is overrated? Alpines good, Pioneer is ok.

I'd go with Alpine any day over Pioneer though.

Take it from the noob that bought a HU from best buy lol. It doesn't really mean ur amp will push more power it just gets the full potential out of the amps power. Either of those preouts sound good compared to my 1 volt crappy Aiwa HU lol.

also, from how i understand it, the higher the voltage on the preamp, the less background noise there is, which means a cleaner sounds

i have an alpine deck with the 4v preamp, and i really like it

well out of those pioneer decks id take alpine but if u step up to like 8600 or something in that line then i would go pioneer....

No way foo! My alpine cda-9835 has a 4 volt pre-out. And in my opinion Alpine makes one of the best headunit out. Everyone is always satisified with their products, and very few ever are dissapointed. But my sister has had her pioneer for a long time and nothin' it wrong with it yet. I just got my 9835 and the features are amazing! I love using it and it's a great product!

look for the DEH 770MP not the 7700 , the 770 is the premier version and comes with 4 volt preouts , i just purchased this deck myself , i had an eclipse 5423 with 5 volt preouts and they both sound excellent

imo, nothin can touch alpine for the money

not that others are junk, eclipse, when using dsp, sounds fn amazing, tho i felt it just couldnt hang with alpine, alpines time correction, xover and peq is NICE
