Pioneer Mic?

I own a pioneer flip tv headunit model number avh p7500 and they sell a mic to hock up to your headunit. Now it says to play the self equalizer, roll up the windows and get out of the car while it plays test tones to get the acoustic sound of your own can then making a equalizer preset out of it. I was wondering if anybody has this headunit had used this or still uses it and how good does it work.

i used it on my 8600... didn't like the eq so i set it back the way i had it... so have the other 2 guys i know that did it

was it soppose to come with the unit because i bought from a place and had them install it and never saw a mic in my car or on the unit.

I used it on mine once, wasnt worth it. Oh and yes mine came in the box with the unit. AVH-p7500dvd
