I've been looking at Pioneer and Premier hu's recently and noticed they say that the support mp3/wma/aac formats, mostly up to 320kbps compression. Now, does this limitation ONLY apply to cd's with the applicable format burned onto them?
The reason i ask is a great deal of my collection is Apple Lossless which i store on my iPod.
With the new Pioneer iPod Interface (CDIB100II), will it play ANYTHING thats on my iPod? Including lossless? http://www.crutchfield.com/S-v2BCPRNoTFn/cgi-bin/Prodview.asp?readmore=true&i=130IB100II#Tab
It seems to me that the 320kbps limitation would only be limited in situations where the headunit would be doing the decoding, where i assume, with the iPod interface, the ipod is doing the decoding and just sending the signal through to the headunit. Am i correct? Anyone know?
