Whenever I connect my HU up the back of it gets real hot even if it isn't on. What could that be? I don't know if it has something to do with my preamp outputs or something because everytime I connect my rca cables it makes this really loud noise but thats only when I connect both rca cables in. If I only connect one it goes down a little bit. Can someone help me please???????????????/

do you have the amps/HU on when you are doing this? Is your amp on when you plug in the RCAs and there is buzzing? you might be shorting something out. like the RCA shields touching metal or something.

no. I have my amps and my HU off. Someone told I problem toasted my outs on my HU. I don't know what it is I have tried all most everything I can think of. I wonder if the preamp outputs can be replaced or would I have to buy a whloe new HU.
