pioneer head unit skiping

ok i just got a new battery and put it in before my subs would cut out at like 30 on my deck witch is a pioneer deh 1900 mp (i know not the best but better then my old one) any way now at about 40 my cd will start skipping but there are no scratches on it .Is there any way i can stop this ? i thought about puting some foam under it but i don't want to burn up the deck or cause a fire in the dash . so what are some of my other options
