pioneer dvds?

so i jus got my pioneer premier 860mp friday...know i want to do video along with my audio. it says "IP-Bus System Expandability(ability to add a pioneer dvd player, either a single dvd player(SDV), or multi dvd player(XDV))

what does this mean? i see that pioneer has a single dvd player(msrp$600) and a multi dvd player for over $1000! How do these connect? ip bus? and is there any different way of doing this(without doing ipbus aux and using like a reg dvd player) any help would be appreciated. Thanks
