Pioneer DEH9800 driving 2ohm speakers?

I recently purchased a set of Infinity Components (60.7CS) and I just realized that they are 2ohm. Is this going to be a problem for me?

I am not sure if i have a factory amplifier in my car, but I do have existing factory mids and tweeters.

Eventually it may blow the internal amp of the HU, possibly causing other failures....
Well, I will have to get an amp then. Any recommendations? or should I take this to the Amplifiers section?

Well you should get something that will give you headroom... in most cases the first set of comps you buy will not be the last... and you may as well be prepared to upgrade down he road. Look for somethin with about 100x2 rms or even a 4 channel for possible future additions.... That being said budget minded products like profile seem to be popular around here, but I would suggest something like an Arc or DLS amp maybe even an audison, you could alwys go with infiniti to match the speakers.. not that this is necessary...

What's your budget?
Dammit, I wish I wasn't such an idiot and would have thought of this earlier... I guess my budget is around $200 - $250 CDN, so like $180 - $225 USD...

I only paid $200CDN for the comp set... so yeah...

I might just get myself a new sub amp and use the 225 HCCA for the components...

Will the 225 put out enough power into 2 ohms stereo? I think it does 50x2 in 2ohm stereo mode? I guess that would be enough.
Yeah, that should be enough. It doesn't drive my sub to my satisfaction anyway.
