Pioneer DEH-P9800BT, connects to ipod, no audio

Hi guys,

I recently bought a new car with a Pioneer DEH-P9800BT unit. It came with the ipod connector built in already. When I plug the ipod in (5th generation ipod aka ipod video) it recognises it and appears to play songs but no audio can be heard. Everything else works fine (i.e. the tuner, blue tooth audio, standard audio jack input) but the ipod won't make any sound. Anyone have any ideas?
