Pioneer DEH-P860 MP Tuner Frequency problem

I have recently purchased a pioneer car stereo from the U.S and had it shipped here to malta...everything works fine but the problem is that i didn`t know that the frequency of the tuner does not work well here in europe...the thing is that the frequency changes in odd numbers eg...89.9...90.1...90.3....etc etc and here in malta most of the channels are even numbers like 89.7 and 106.6 and 101.8 etc etc...anyone knows any type of solution...

Would have to call Pioneer to see if it's compatible with different channel spacings. Most of the world uses a different bandplan for the FM band than the US does.

AM would change as well if you cared about that; the rest of the world uses 9KHz spacings while we use 10KHz.

IIRC alpine decks are able to switch back and forth between European and US bandwidths, but I don't think the Pioneers are.

Though it would be best if you called Pioneer, told them the situation and see what they tell you. They may have the ability built into the unit, just "hidden" from consumers.

i ll try to contact them again but when i tried before..here in malta they told me since its not purchased from here they cannot help me and the uk branch told me to contact here in malta....dohh......but thanks for the help...

if anyone has any schematic which can help me to adjust the tuner i would be grateful or any type of directions how to do it...if there is any solution
