Turn it off by holding down Source, then hold down Function until the settings come up, then you scroll over to brightness and do whatever you want.

one more the display brightness goes bright than to normal continously.how do u turn that off? and it says u can put the treble in the front speakers and the bass in the rears, how do u do that?

As far the brightness changing....I have no idea, I've never had any problems with that....you might want to turn the Dimmer off and see if that does anything...

To have the treble in the front and bass in the back - close the flap, press and hold the EQ button until the SFEQ comes up. You can press EQ to switch between different settings - FRT1 boosts the treble in the front and the bass in the back, and FRT2 boosts the treble and bass in the front, and the bass in the back. And there are also H and L settings for both of these, H meaning High and L meaning Low.

It's called Reverse Mode. It's annoying.

On my 7400 you can turn it off by pressing the 5 preset while the ACC is in the ON position and the radio is turned OFF.

might work for the 8400
