I'm having horrible battery and alternator ground loop issues with my 800 PRS through RCAs (HU amp is fine).
I've narrowed the issue down to the HU. The amps are clean, I can connect another source to the RCAs and another HU (Kenwood) has no ground loop issues.
I even took out this 800PRS and connected my 880 (that never had ground issues) and now it also has ground loop problem.
Does anyone know if the wiring harness for the RCAs is a PoS and not shielded or can get damaged? That's the only thing that remains the same between the 880 and 800. I'd try the second RCA harness, but the stupid Best Buy that my insurance had me go to to install the replacement kept the RCA harness that came with the 800.
