i have a pioneer deh-7800mp and i want to get rid of all my bass in my 4 speakers because i have a sub that gies me all the bass i need. i can't seem to get rid of all the bass and i dont know what to do. Before this radio I had a Panasonic that had the basic treble, bass you know the easy way to do it. On that i had the bass down to -12 and the treble to +3. It sounded amazing no bass from speakers only from sub the way i want it. Now with this new radio with all the frequency bullsh it is giving me issues. At higher volumes the speakers sound pretty good but not as good as with the old panasonic radio and the bass from the speakers sound like crap.

my high pass filter settings are already on as much as they can go. it won't seem to let me get rid of the bass . any ideas guys?

I would really appreciate it, if somehow, someone tell me what i should put all the settings at. that will help me the most.

If you set the HPF to 200, do not forget to set the slope -12. This will effectively cut out bass from your front speakers. Remember also that the 780 has filters for both the front and rear speakers. If you do not want mid range then lower the frequencies at 500 and 800. Doing these two things will eliminate all bass from your speakers.

I had a similar issue with that deck, if you raise the eq on the lower frequencies it helps to increase the HP filter. I had to go as far as increasing the slope of the cross over. But ultimately I ended up leaving the lower frequencies of the EQ flat and just using the sub volume to give me more sub output. Because the EQ seemed to make the sub sound very unnatural.

Until I took the deck back to the store for a refund.

just adjust the high pass/low pass crossover above 125+ and adjust the slope to -12 to cut the bass out of the speakers....when u use the eq ur taking bass out of you sub
