I have a 780 which is the exact same thing as the 980 minus the BlueTooth. The most noticeable thing about the deck is the screen. Its really nice and way more detailed than the one on Kenwoods or the Eclipses (though those are nice also). The deck also has alot of sound features. It has a 16band EQ and time alignment which can be fully adjusted or set automatically. It has adjustable levels of BBE sound, and Comp/BMX which are two different ways of listening to compressed music files. The crossover selection is one of my favorite things about this deck. You can adjust the front and rear speakers independantly with a 0,6,12 DB slope and you can HPF them at 50,80,100,125,160,200,225. You can also control the gains on the front and back speakers independantly which is a nice feature that can help your sound imaging. Th sub controls are also pretty nice. The only thing I do not like about the unit is the painted knob. The knob feels just fine and it is really easy to use, but its not real metal. Its just painted plastic and some of the paint has worn off around the edges of the knob on my unit. Other than that, its my fav unit that I have owned. I used to have an Eclipse8445 and then a Pioneer P80mp. If you dont plan on using BlueTooth, save ourself $100 and get the 780mp.

Sounds like the way to go. Save 100 bucks and still get the good features.

I have a BT car stereo and Is the best buy ever , talk on the phone with out having funny stuff on your ear is nice plus is like having a espensive BMW car stereo
