Hi all -
I have a 1998 BMW 323is which is pretty stock except for the Pioneer DEH-80PRS head unit I put in about 3.5 years ago. The front speakers have stopped working. I pulled it out to check the the harness into the stock wiring and everything seemed to still be properly connected. I swapped out the Pioneer for an old JVC unit I had and the front speakers were working once again.
So it seems there is an issue with the Pioneer head unit. Gotta admit, I'm pretty disappointed considering this was supposed to be a top of the line unit.
Has anyone encountered this before and can it be repaired? Would it still be usable via the preamp outputs?
