Pioneer DEH-2500UI

We just bought a used car and it has this Pioneer DEH-2500UI. I downloaded the PDF manual but for this model, there appears to be no way to adjust head LED colors or display brightness. It's apparently a model that was sold for Ipod use? ( we don't have an Ipod, nor will we. )

Is there any way to do the setup for this unit, without an Ipod?
