Pioneer Deck popping

I bought a pioneer d3 and it makes a popping noise when i shut the car off. I know its not the speakers because the HU that was stock didn't have any popping

Next thing is, the system is not amplified yet, I had a pioneer deck that popped my subs before, but that was an RCA issue.

Upon searching the forum all the solutions were to ground the RCAs, any suggestions for this issue?

i dont think it has anything to do with your rca's... can you add a second ground? also try this, turn the deck off with the car on, does it still pop or does it not? i wonder if its a "car problem"

its pretty much the deck, if you turn it off before the ignition its a slight pop. if you turn the car off its a thump

you have to ground the rca conectors on the headunit there is another thread that tells you how to do it i spliced some speaker wire n figure 8 around the rca connectors on the hu all pioneer hu's do this

my 8600 has toasted pre-outs, but it does not affect my internally amped speakers, just the sub makes a little pop when i turn on/off, from volume 1 to 0, or vice versa, or when i change from radio to cd to external ipod, or also when ever i change any eq settings on the deck which is never

mine doesn't out of the 10+ pioneers i've had NONE have EVER done it. must be a problem with your installs.

I have the same pop noise when I turn the volume from 1 to 0; but only on my amped components, the subs don't do it. None of the other pioneers i've owned have done that. Switching sources is fine.

no, but you can try grounding the unit. maybe wrap a wire around the mounting cage or something or hook it to the back of the unit. also you may have mentioned it; what kinf of car year/make/model?
