Pioneer CD-IB100II Bypass Shortcut

Im using the CD-IB100II and DEH-P880PRS setup. Ive learned that there are ways to bypass the deck and control your music through your ipod. Does anyone know how to do this?

Here is one way i found out (didnt work for me):

"before turning the car on, press the menu button on the iPod. It should go from the charging screen to the main menu screen. Then put the iPod on hold. Next, turn the car on. The iPod should go back to the charge screen (or the Pioneer screen). Turn the hold off, and then press menu. The iPod should go back to the main menu screen and allow you to navigate through the iPod directly. "

This way didnt work for me... are there other ways to bypass the deck?

Just curious, why would you want to control it with the iPod instead of the head unit?

my head unit scrolls through my ipod soo slow, its a pain driving.

It scrolls through what? The titles, or it loads the songs too slowly?

A friend of mine just did a simple jack to RCA type thing. He lost some sound quality, but he has all the control on the IPOD.
