Pioneer Avic n1 upgrade and bypass?

Hey guys I have the avic n1 with the original software. I want to upgrade the software, mainly for the map. I know if I upgrade it to the N2 software you can still bypass the lockout, but what if I upgrade it to the N3 software? I need to have it bypassed cuz I have an xbox witha 250gb fro all my multimedia conencted to ti with a remote. Let me know.

As far as I'm aware the bypass is the same for both the N2 and N3, you make the unit think it is in bench test mode. So it should work with N3 software just fine

I don't think you can bypass it at all once you upgrade the software...because on the N3 there is a little switch you have to flick on the bottom of the unit...and it's covered by a silver sticker...and the N2 has the samething but no switch instead you solder 2 pins together....but I don't think the N1 has that sticker...check out http://www.avic411.com to make sure...but I doubt you can bypass once u upgrade it
