Need these answered fast plzzz

i heard they no longer make this model.. they have new ones?

my main question is:

i have heard. if u r playing a dvd but then u need to check ur navi..u have to take the dvd disc out and then put in the navi disc...and thwen ur done put ur dvd disc back in?
