Pioneer AVH P4000 dvd problem

Recently installed AVH P4000, system works great....so I thought, while watching dvd I have sound but no picture. The movie plays and audio is available, but the screen is black. I wanted to know if this is a frequent occurance of maybe an issue with assembly. Along with that problem, my ipod connection will play my ipod but no sound is available. Somebody please help me!!!!!!

i had the same issue and theres a black wire that had to be grounded

that was after i sent the unit in to get a new mother board
