Pioneer AppRadio 2 SPH-DA100 Brake Bypass

Hey guys,

I just got my AppRadio 2 installed in my car and I had them do the E-brake bypass. Once the head unit was installed, the guy showed me everything on it and how it played the movies. I then headed home and once I got home, the warning sign came up and the bypass was not working anymore. It continuously did this, so I called the guy back. He said that this certain type of head unit the bypass he put won't work on it and that I will need to purchase another type (he did not know this when he was installing it, and thought nothing of it when it worked the first time).

So anyways, he told me the other bypass part costs $55. I was like what?! I don't know if he's trying to rip me off or what, but if there is anyone else out there with the AppRadio 2 and you have successfully done the bypass on it, I would love to know the part you used. I know $55 is way to much for a bypass part. Any help is appreciated!

Believe a relay will work

That's the thing, there is a relay installed in the car. The movies or the nav don't work even with the ebrake up and the car in accessory mode.

Im not 100% for that HU, but I think you need one of these. Amazon.com: Parking Brake Override Bypass Fully Automatic Video in Motion Pioneer Custom for AVH-P8400BH Better then PAC TR7: Automotive

It clicks the relay twice, which might be why the one he put in doesn't work, as it likely clicks once.
