pioneer and premier

On many...metal pieces...and overall build quality. Featues, etc...

I dont know about you, but using a normal Pionner...if you've felt like you're almost going to snap those plastic buttons/hinges...etc.

On some models the only difference between the

standard Pioneer and the Premier is the pre-amp

voltage. Premier models have higher voltage.

The differences vary from model to model.

the only real thing that i have noticed about the pioneer vs premier, is the subs. the premiers offer a higher wattage and rms rating. i have a pioneer premier 10" sub. it has a max rating of 800 watts and rms rating of 400watts! i like it so much that i'm going to get another after i upgrade my alternator. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Premier decks have a longer warranty(2 year) than Pioneer decks(1 year) also if I remember correctly.

That would be absolutely the first time I have ever heard that. If the warranty is not the same then it has changed recently. Historically, the premier line had a longer warranty. They also can have higher pre out voltage. Crutchfield lists the PIONEER warranty as 1 year, parts and labor. The specs on the premier come from pioneer's site, and they mention a 2 year warranty.

specs on the premier P940MP(premier line)

"the three pair of Hi-Volt (6V) (yes, six Volt) pre-outs just might do the trick. The DEH-P940MP has Soft-Key Operation, which shows function-button names on the display for easier readability, and it's XM Ready. The Premier two-year limited warranty applies."

specs on the P9400mP(non premier line)

"and you get three pair of Hi-Volt (4V) RCA pre-outs if you want to add amps. The DEH-P9400MP is XM Ready and comes with a steering wheel remote."

i just would say that the premier is for bib systems because of the rcas and warrany....and the pioneer is just for the every day person

Lol...apparently you have no experience with both "brands".

Go to you Circuit City or whatever and play with each head unit...then tell me there isnt a noticable difference.
