pioneer.. 98 mustang

my friend has a 98 mustang and is trying to put a pioneer 7700mp in. the dash kit was already in, becuase he had a jvc previously. well he got it all hooked up and it getting absolutely no sound. can you guys help me out?

Did he hardwire it?

Make sure all speaker wires are connected properly- make sure you aren't shorting out any of the speakers.

not hardwired. the wiring harness had been previously purchased, becuase he had a jvc hu in there. i checked over if for him, and i don't see anything wrong. i figured you guys could help out. thanks for the quick reply

All of the speakers were working?

If you have a DMM, test out each speaker.

Most Mustangs, even without the Mach systems, have factory amps. If it's not bypassed you may have to turn the factory amp on. Make sure the blue/white wire in your harness is hooked up to the deck's remote output.

As previously stated, check your speaker wires with a DMM.
