how about feature wise compared to the 80prs? Which btw charges a phone at a snails pace.No way. It's feature rich. Dual USB's and it charges your phone/iPod fast as shit. I swear it's faster than pluggin it into the wall.
And with this deck... it has autotune. So, even if you're not a tuning whiz, it'll do it all for you. Setting it up manually has a bit of a steep learning curve, but once you get it down pat, it's a breeze to change settings.
Even if you're not going to run active right now, all of the EQ is awesome to have. 16 bands and independant left and right EQ. That's a lot in case you didnt' know.
It's a fantastic deck for either beginners or pros. This is the go-to deck in most novice, stock or beginner SQ classes that are EQ restricted. And that says a lot about how good it is.
Wait, wait... were you asking about the p99? I was talking about the 80prs. Yours charges slow? Mine was awesome.how about feature wise compared to the 80prs? Which btw charges a phone at a snails pace.
I thought the p99 can only be run active? Which I am in the process of switching too. I have never ran active before.
Yes. I have the 80prs. I've only charged my phone once on it. Normally takes 2 or 2.5 hours on the wall. Off the hu I think it took 3 or 4 hours.Wait, wait... were you asking about the p99? I was talking about the 80prs. Yours charges slow? Mine was awesome.
I do feeel like the p99 is a bit of a waste for someone who doesn't need it. But it certainly is a beautiful piece. And a pricey one.
You can't run a 3 way active front with the 80. We can walk you through it when you're ready. I know it's a bit imtimitading, but it's really nothing at all. Set your crosses on the HU and open them up or put them on "pass" at the amp and you're active. Lol.Yes. I have the 80prs. I've only charged my phone once on it. Well. I literally trying for the first time to get into the SQ. So far all I have ever focused on was substage. This is the first time that I will be running a mids/high amp and running a 3 way active front stage. Never even ran active before.
I was just curious. Would I notice or have any differences between the 80prs and p99? Not saying that I would get one. But if I found one used for a nice price. It would get my mind running.
keep_hope_alive told me that I can run 3 way active...Now I am confused. I am going to be using an audison Lrx 6.9k and the crossovers on the amp.You can't run a 3 way active front with the 80. You will definitely notice a difference in sound. The p99 is an SQ beast. It only has a single USB though and there is a shit ton more control. You CAN run a 3 way front with the 99.
PM me how much you found it for. Unless you want or need all of the control in the dash (like I do), you might be better off just getting a processor.
I am running tweets, full range and mids off of the Audison. I only care to run active on the front stage. But is there not a way to do it?There might be a little confusion in what you are asking. The 880 and PRS80 can run 3 way active as in seperate channels for tweets, mids, and subs. They can't do 3 way active up front with an additional sub stage. That would be 4 way active. For what its worth, I have an 880 and its a great unit.
