ok, heres the deal, i had a clarion dxz-635 that worked beautifuly, perfect sq. now i install my new pioneer 690ub and i get a static noise as soon as the volume is turned above zero, alone with a bit of alternator whine, so i wrapped wire around the grounds as per the thread on here. hooked it back up, alternator whine is gone, but there is still static. it is very noticable at high volumes with quite parts in songs. is there any way to remedy this? also is there a way to turn off the beep everytime you do something? thanks' oh yea, and gains are set so that max volume is 40 on the hu

yes they are, and like i said, this was not present with last deck, and is with this one, and no wires were move, so it couldnt be that
thats what the pio's are known for. Perhaps and even better ground. Not questioning the first job you did, just throwing it out there.

so i regrounded the head unit right to my battery and this stupid noise is still present, im getting so frustrated with this, i dont know what else to try.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

If you did not change anything from the last install, obviously the head unit is bad.

Pioneer has some of the best features and specs, and I'm shopping for a new deck... but reading this board for only a few minutes, it's obvious Pioneer has some serious issues... I'm sticking with Kenwood or Panasonic. I'd take that deck and return it or throw it in the trash... a head unit that has noise and requires repair right out of the box is not worth your time.

My pioneer 6900UB (Same as your premier) also has a light static sound at anything above volume 1. The noise is not there on volume 0.

I fixed the alt whine with a ground loop isolator (grounding the RCAs only made it worse for me)

but i can not lose the static sound

i have the exact same problem, however grounding the rca's did fix the alt whine, but not the static sound, i still have to try a ground loop isolator
