Pioneer 5900

hey every body. I have a pioneer DEH-5900. It has recently started skipping more than usual and hits that are not even that hard. does any one Know a way to get in side of it and reduce the skipping? I plan to get a new head unit soon but I really love all the features and would like to keep it for a podium.

a dirty disc will cause that...you probably got the laser eye dirty

I will get one of those discs that clean the eye. I hope it is that easy.

No i never take it off roading. My buddy's pioneer did the same thing and now is just set up in his shop and skips without it even moving.... I would really like to fix this before it gets that bad if i can.
