Pioneer 1300MP

Hello, i have a Pioneer 1300MP headunit. When i eject a CD the unit powers off but will turn back on again fine. Is this normal? Does anyone have one of these or another headunit that does this? Thanks. Phil

That sounds like a malfunction. Check your wires to make sure everything is tight and no bare wires are exposed, although I doubt that is the cause of this problem. You may need to replace the head unit under warranty if possible.

Thanks for your reply. It only does it when in CD mode. If i eject a CD when the radio is on the unit will stay on! However i have been having problems with unit randomly shutting off. I took it back to halfords who fitted it and they found that this gripper/connector round some wires wasn't making good enough contact with the wire. As a result of all the shut downs it blew a fuse but halfords changed that too. So far its been ok. Phil
